    CosmeticBusiness Poland once again proves to be the largest meeting place for the Polish cosmetics supplying industry

    CosmeticBusiness Poland on 25 and 26 September once again proved to be the most important trade fair for the Polish cosmetics supplying industry. Together with the HPCI - Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference, around 300 suppliers presented their new solutions for the development, production and packaging of cosmetic products at the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre. The accompanying conference programme featured compelling current issues such as sustainability.

    "Since its premiere, CosmeticBusiness Poland has established itself in association with HPCI - Home and Personal Ingredients Exhibition and Conference as the most important meeting place for the Polish cosmetics supplying industry," says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. He also adds: "The focus on the whole chain of manufacturing in the cosmetic industry in this form is unique and now woos more than just the polish cosmetic specialists. Again this year, the percentage of international exhibitors and visitors has risen and this reflects the continued interest in the Polish cosmetics market, which continues to develop dynamically. CosmeticBusiness Poland is the perfect meeting place for the industry and the perfect platform to promote this growth."

    A Must-attend Event for the Polish Cosmetics Industry

    The fourth edition of CosmeticBusiness Poland attracted visitors with the widest range of products and services to date. 300 exhibitors (2018: 280) and companies presented the entire cosmetics value chain in cooperation with HCPI - from ingredients to production and packaging.

    CosmeticBusiness Poland also continued to grow in terms of internationality: Trade visitors from a total of 30 countries (2018: 27) attended the event. Most of them were from Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Italy, Russia, Estonia and Hungary. 85 per cent of visitors to CosmeticBusiness Poland in Warsaw were Polish experts.

    Katarzyna Piątek, Managing Director of Polpak Packaging, exhibited for the second time at CosmeticBusiness Poland and is impressed by this trade fair's potential: "CosmeticBusiness Poland is for us one of the most important platforms for our industry in Poland. This was demonstrated again this year: Hundreds of visitors came to our stand alone. We received more than a hundred enquiries from companies with that we have never worked with before. In this respect, a great deal of potential for long-term cooperation is already emerging. We were also happy with the quality of the discussions. We were surprised, that so many visitors came from western Europe. About half of the visitors that came to our stand were from abroad. No one came to our stand by accident, everyone who came was a representative of cosmetic and cleaning products companies. And that is our target group."

    The One-of-a-kind concept attracted specialists from throughout the cosmetics industry

    CosmeticBusiness Poland in combination with HCPI was able to once again achieve success this year with this unique concept, combining the entire chain of cosmetics production in one place. This enables visitors to quickly and easily meet their specific needs for information and efficiently generate ideas for new cosmetic products at the trade fair.

    The high professional quality of the trade fair visitors shows how much of a fixture this event has become in the industry calendar. Over 1,500 decision-makers from the industry used the trade fair association to network and discuss current branch trends. Among them, 22 per cent is from the company and corporate management side. Every fourth visitor is responsible for the development and at any given time ten per cent were from sales, as well as product management and marketing.

    The exhibitors once again praised the high quality of contacts. Petra Liebert, Export Manager at PACKIT GmbH and a first-time exhibitor at CosmeticBusiness Poland, was also enthusiastic about the trade fair: "For the first time we decided to present at CosmeticBusiness Poland because we want to grow in eastern Europe. CosmeticBusiness's trade fair concept that is tailored to the cosmetic industry has impressed us for many years in Munich. Our experience there, made deciding to come to CosmeticBusiness Poland in Warsaw simple. I have to say that we were positively surprised by the response. We made a lot of new contacts and received very concrete, target-oriented enquiries from qualified trade visitors. In addition to Polish companies, we were also pleased to welcome visitors from Lithuania and Latvia as well. Should the post-event follow-up be as positive as this, nothing will stand in the way of our participation next year."

    Future-oriented Conference Programme

    "One of the highlights of the trade fair programme is always the accompanying conference programme. In 2019 this proved to be particularly varied and future-oriented," said Ivonne Simons, Project Director of CosmeticBusiness Poland. "In conjunction with the HPCI, the conference programme of CosmeticBusiness Poland, the technical seminars and the scientific conference of the HPCI Raum provided space for a total of 35 exciting lectures. Trend information and topics such as sustainability were particularly high on the agenda."

    The market research company Euromonitor focused extensively on the megatrend of sustainability on the first day of the fair and gave an overview of the most important ecological trends and impulses in the industry. The special exhibition "The green way of cosmetics" picked up directly on this and presented sustainable packaging solutions. New solutions based on bioplastics (Unicom), the use of recycled materials (Polpak) and more energy-efficient finishing technologies (Altus) were just some of the products on show. New refill concepts such as the Cosmetomat from Invanto were also presented.

    The next CosmeticBusiness Poland will take place from 07 to 08 October 2020 at the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw.
