CosmeticBusiness Poland 2019: Industry Discussion about Trends and Sustainability
From 25 to 26 September, Warsaw International Expocentre EXPO XXI will once again be the meeting place for the Polish cosmetics supplying industry. Just in time for the fourth edition of CosmeticBusiness Poland, the conference programme is now online and offers visitors a comprehensive overview of current trends and developments in the industry.
"Since its premiere, CosmeticBusiness Poland, in cooperation with HCPI, has become the most important trade fair for the cosmetics supplying industry in Poland thanks to its unique concept: The exhibition network is the only platform in Poland that showcases every part of cosmetics production – from ingredients to production and packaging – in one place," says project director Ivonne Simons. She also adds, "with this event, we have created the perfect discussion forum in which suppliers and cosmetics manufacturers can shape future product trends in the industry today."
Once again this year, the conditions are ideal: Together with HPCI - Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference, over 250 exhibitors and represented companies will present their new ideas for the development, production and packaging of cosmetic products and detergents in Hall 4 at the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw. More than half of the exhibitors are coming from abroad – primarily from Germany, France and Italy.
Information on Trends in the Cosmetics Industry
Few other industries are as dynamic and as trend-oriented as the cosmetics and cosmetics supplying industry, this is also evident in this year's conference programme. CosmeticBusiness Poland 2019 is all about current industry trends and innovations, with presentations on colour strategies and creative beauty inspirations (Carlin Group) as well as on the megatrend of sustainability (Euromonitor).
The Carlin Creative Trend Bureau encourages discussions on current trends. Following the successful premiere of the Trend Workshops last year, participants will once again have the opportunity to talk to trend experts and learn more about „How trends can impact my decisions on colour: brand, packaging, product” on both days of the fair: http://pl.cosmetic-business.com/en/programme/carlin-trend-workshop/
Sustainability as a Driving Force
The cosmetics industry is becoming increasingly ecological. Topics such as waste reduction, transparency and natural ingredients are very popular in the cosmetics and cosmetics supplying industry. Consequently, the natural cosmetics industry is growing by five to six per cent each year.
On the first day of the fair, the market research company Euromonitor will give an overview of the most important global trends and ideas with its presentation "Sustainability in the Beauty industry". Lectures on topics such as natural cosmetics certification (Polskie Centrum Badan i Certyvikacji), new materials for labelling (Avery Dennison Polska) and sustainable packaging solutions (Unicom) will provide an all-round view of the current driving force in the industry.
Innovative Packaging Solutions
In addition to the "sustainability megatrend," trade visitors can also look forward to numerous new ideas from the packaging sector: Lectures on counterfeit protection (Multifol), digital communication through packaging (PC Print), requirements for cosmetic labels (Avery Dennison Polska) and best practice solutions in the field of promotional packaging (3m project) will provide a comprehensive overview of the most important topics currently affecting the cosmetic packaging industry.

P-Beauty Industry on the Road to Success
For years now, the Polish cosmetics market has been one of the most dynamic in Europe and with annual sales growth of three per cent it still does not seem to have reached its full potential. According to an overview by the statistics portal Statista, the market volume in the Beauty & Personal Care segment is expected to increase from around EUR 3,963 million to EUR 4,463 million by 2023.
The lectures “P-Beauty. Polish cosmetic business – challenges, opportunities & perspectives in fast-changing world” (Cosmetics Insight Poland) and “Export of Polish Cosmetics. Real Business or dreams” (barbacki CONSULTING) explain which developments are currently shaping the market and present the concrete challenges and peculiarities of the Polish cosmetics industry. The programme does not neglect the international market with its lectures on topics such as Brexit (THETA) and cosmetics certification in the USA (JARS).
In addition to the trade fair programme, the Distributors Lounge, which will take place for the second time at CosmeticBusiness Poland on 25 September, is for creating a successful foundation for new sales cooperations. At the Matchmaking Event, cosmetic brands looking for sales partners can meet interested distributors.
