CosmeticBusiness Poland 2018: Trend information, innovations in the cosmetics supplying industry and a new service
The wide-ranging conference programme of CosmeticBusiness Poland 2018 addresses trends and new developments in the cosmetics and supplying industry and is, therefore, a fundamental part of the trade fair, which will take place for the third time in Warsaw from 26 to 27 September. Trade fair visitors will find a new service waiting for them: the Distributors Lounge.
CosmeticBusiness Poland, in combination with HPCI - Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference, is growing: More than 250 exhibitors and represented companies will present new ideas for the development, production and packaging of cosmetic products as well as cleaning products in an increased exhibition area compared to the previous year. The entire Hall 4 of the EXPO XXI Exhibition Centre in Warsaw is reserved for this event. In addition, CosmeticBusiness Poland is once again showing a high degree of internationality: 45 percent of exhibitors this year are coming from abroad, above all from Germany, France and Great Britain.
"The range of products and services at the trade fair covers the entire value-creation chain, from ingredients to packaging, and is characterised by a number of innovations from the cosmetics supplying industry. In the accompanying conference programme, we also offer up-to-date trend and industry information for decision-makers from development and marketing in order to provide them with optimum support in product development," says Project Director Ivonne Simons.
Preview of the trend drivers 2019
The conference programme will shed light on the product concepts which consumers expect to see in the future. In the lecture "2019 trend drivers - Strategic and creative cross-inspirations", employees of the Carlin Creative Trend Bureau describe what the trend drivers of the 2019 season are in the areas of colours, motifs, decoration, fashion and beauty, and the influence they have on the development of new cosmetic products. In addition, the Carlin Creative Trend Bureau is organising trend workshops for the first time as part of CosmeticBusiness Poland, which were already successfully held at CosmeticBusiness Munich in June this year. Participants can exchange ideas with trend experts on the topic "How trends can impact my decisions on colour: brand, packaging, product".
Current topics on ingredients and formulation
Scientific and technical aspects for formulating cosmetic products are also in the focus of the conference programme: On 26 September Mikrolab, among other things, will provide information on the current legal requirements for cosmetic products in relation to microbiological tests. The Polish laboratory's presentation will cover test procedures for microbiological purity of products and neutralisation of antimicrobial properties. Polish manufacturer Passage is also focusing on this topic. In the lecture "Challenge test based on an environmental microbiological strain" Passage questions the effectiveness of conventional preservation systems in an emergency and points out possible savings potentials when using preservatives.
The HPCI CEE Scientific Conference on the first day of the trade fair and the daily HPCI CEE Technical Seminars will also enrich the visit for developers. Safety assessors can continue their training at the paid seminar by the German Society for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics (DGK) and German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW).
Lecture series on the packaging of the future
Trade fair visitors can also look forward to the PACKAGING [R]EVOLUTION lecture series, which is organised by Aniflex. The forum focuses on revolutionary ideas and innovations in the field of packaging design. The first part presents trends in packaging design and new technologies in package refinement and decoration. Special effects coatings, glass decoration and innovative embossing technologies are only a part of the topics to be presented. Sustainable solutions for self-adhesive materials are also part of the discussions. Finally, a representative from the retail sector will speak about the demands on the packaging of cosmetic products from the point of view of the specialist trade.
